Hamid Drake, Luc Ex, Mats Gustafsson, and Ken Vandermark presented a concert of cutting edge music that shifts and turns with constant surprise, built on the incredible rhythmic foundation provided by Hamid and Luc and the burning frontline of Mats and Ken. The Summit Quartet came back to Sardinia this September for a return engagement, celebrating the release of this album with a performance that burned with all the fire indicated on this LP."
